Peony in Watercolor

A great adventure for a three day weekend

My stash of Kilimanjaro watercolor paper has been calling

Wendy Sinclair has kindly shared so many photos for Artists to use as reference
and this white peony is a favorite.

I used it for a smaller version but now want to explore painting on a larger scale

half sheet and frame  at 18x24

Toying with the idea of planting Peonies in my yard
but until that happens
will plant a few on my walls

This will last a bit longer than the real one

and bring a little outside in

Almost done...

Ready to mat and frame...

and hang!

incredible work Lee! it's fun to see the stages it went through before the final one, and how you keep working it until it's just right. I would have quite a long time ago, lol! you have the patience of a saint!

@pinkglitterfaeBetty, truly a great escape playing with this over 3 days. Knowing I was doing it for myself greatly reduced the pressure.
